From Humble Beginnings

I grew up in a small village in Wales, the son of a hardworking immigrant father who came to the UK for university, met my mother, and decided to stay. Both of my parents set an example of resilience and dedication, and my father’s encouragement to “do well” instilled in me a determination to push through setbacks and learn from failure. Growing up alongside my twin brother brought out a natural competitiveness, but also reinforced my father’s lesson of shared responsibility — values that continue to shape how I approach teamwork today.

College and university opened my world socially and academically. Studying computer science gave me a solid technical foundation and a passion for learning new technologies — something I continue to embrace throughout my career. My early years as a software developer taught me the importance of precision, problem-solving, and the discipline needed to build solutions that deliver real value.

These experiences — family, education, and professional growth — have shaped me into someone who is resilient, curious, and collaborative. I carry forward the competitiveness that drives me to achieve, balanced with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork that ensures success is shared.

Career Story

From Technology Enthusiast to Project Leader
My career began with a deep interest in technology, which I pursued academically through a degree in Computer Science. I started out as a software developer, gaining first hand experience of how technology underpins business solutions and learning the importance of detail, quality, and collaboration. This technical foundation gave me the insight and confidence to transition into project and programme management, where I could combine my organisational skills, leadership, and problem-solving approach to deliver outcomes on a larger scale.

Driving Change Through Leadership and Innovation
Over the past decade, I’ve built my career around leading complex projects and programmes across healthcare, transport, and technology sectors. From delivering digital maturity projects in the NHS to introducing cutting-edge innovations like VR training and automation platforms at Network Rail, I have consistently focused on outcomes that make a real impact. My role today involves managing large systems, engaging with thousands of users, and leading high-performing teams to deliver strategic change. Each stage of my journey has been about building stronger processes, empowering people, and finding smarter ways to deliver results.

Values

From Technology Enthusiast to Project Leader
My values are rooted in responsibility, resilience, and shared success — lessons instilled in me from an early age. I believe in leading with integrity, being open and adaptable, and creating an environment where collaboration thrives. For me, technology and change are not just about systems, but about people — how we work together, how we grow, and how we deliver benefits that matter.

Outside of work, I carry these values into my community life. Whether it’s volunteering, supporting local initiatives, or engaging in hobbies like rowing and gaming communities, I embrace opportunities that bring people together and strengthen collective outcomes. These experiences keep me balanced, creative, and grounded — and they continually reinforce the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility in everything I do.
